Profile
| As a 30-year veteran of the photography business, David G. Muston is on the forefront of the latest developments in the industry. David Muston owes much of his success to his ability to foresee new developments in the photograph development business and to capitalize on them well before they become the common standard. In 1978, Mr. Muston purchased one of the first one hour photo development labs in the country, which led to a sharp increase in his business and his prominence as a pioneer in the photography development business. He also realized the superior image and color quality in glossy 4-inch by 6-inch prints, rather than textured, 3-inch by 5-inch prints, well before they became the industry standard, which also led to a boom in his business. Photography is not only David Muston’s professional service, but also a lifelong passion. He has worked as a professional photographer for many years, often at professional sporting events. He has had several photos he took at the Laguna Seca Race track published in “Sport Rider” magazine and in its “Racing” Photo Annual Edition. Mr. Muston has also worked as a professional photographer for the National Basketball Association, and he is highly esteemed in that circle for his iconic photograph of Phoenix Suns’ player Kevin Johnson dunking the basketball over the Houston Rockets’ Hakeem Olajuwon. Mr. David Muston trained as a teacher before going into the photography business. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Stanislaus State College, then went on to earn his Standard Secondary Teaching Credential from San Jose State University. Mr. David Muston and his wife live in Wichita, Kansas.
